Resetting PRAM (along with Rebuilding the Desktop) are some of the most over-used 
troubleshooting steps.

Resetting PRAM might help (reboot, hold down cmd-opt-P-R for 3 chimes), but most 
likely not.

What kinds of printers are these? What port is AppleTalk set to use? Is there an 
internal modem in the computer?
