This would  explain the 512k RAM ceiling (8x64MB) but the 7600 has a 
1GB RAM ceiling and still only 8 slots (requiring 8x128MB) but is an 
earlier machine (April 1996 vs. February 1997 for the 7300) so what 
gives with Apple, surely 128MB DIMMs were around in 1997 it they knew 
they existed in 1996.....
