Man, now they have my business! Even though-I have now maxed out > the RAM > possibility for my 7600! **************************** I smell a troll. I bet they have someone watching this list. ***************************** Actually, if they do-all the better. This way, they can guage what is happening and can improve their service, which judging from other posts isn't all that good. I am not a Velocity employee or in any way affilliated with them other than as a customer, but I thought it was only fair to share the news of a positive experience from Velocity after reading so many of the negative experiences others have had. While the number quoted varies, you will tell 7 people of a negative experience to the 1 person you will tell about the positive experience. I wanted to tell the positive side. I work for a major software company whose products have a large Mac installed base and a growing PC base. Our managers push the idea that service is what we really do, whether we show that through the service that the tech support folks provide, through the excellent products that the engineers write, through the stores that sell our software, or through all other aspects of the company. Our idea of the customer is not just the end user who buys the products but include our contacts within our company and contacts to the companies we are customers of. Too often, we at the company hear about the negative experiences our customers have--the technical support calls when the software doesn't perform to expectations, the customer service calls when the latest product was pushed back from release due to quality issues, the complaints from vendors when sales outstrip supply. To be honest, most of the time that is all we do hear is the negative side of the busiesss. People rarely put in a call to a software company (or any company for that matter)telling them what a good job they did. Anyway, that is why I wanted to share my experience.
