Hope some one can help with this one. Here's he run down ...

MAC 6360 running OS8.1, 136 MB RAM w/138.6 MB Virtual Memory allocated.
HD is a 1 GB unit pulled from a working 6220.

Here's my situation ...

had a problem with the whole thing freezing during any attempt to browse
the internet using AOL 5.0. Last time it froze, I killed the power it
and when I re-booted, it could not even find the modem. Using the Modem
control panel I only had a choice of using the printer port or modem
port (the modem port is blocked because it has an internal modem in the
Comm slot.) I tried selecting each port but still no-go. Tried various
sets of extensions (Several modem extensions are there) to no avail.

I'd like to get rid of all the un-needed extensions and reload the
proper ones but I have no idea what kind of modem is in it. Not sure if
it is the original either. It says "Apple Computer, Inc. 820-0809-A"

Q#1. Anyone know what modem I've got?
Q#2. Am I going about this the right way or does anyone have a better
idea?
Q#3. For the time when I dump AOL for a non-AOL broadband connection,
what version of IE or Netscape should I use on this machine?

Thanks in advance,

Glenn
