Sounds about right. Most FireWire PCI cards work in Macs as they are OHCI compliant. I have a no-name brand card in mine that seems to work fine, if a little slowly (the cards fault, not the Mac) in my 7300/200. I would advise, if you really want it to work well, that you get one that is spec'd for a Mac or a recognised Mac friendly brand like Orange Micro or Belkin. I have a Belkin USB card and they are a little more expensive but work 100%. Either way, that one should work. Some have been found to not work in polder PCI machines but mostly ones not spec'd for the Mac. You might be able to get a cheaper non-Mac card but the guarantee is no longer 100% that it will work. As a side note, don't be alarmed if the card does not appear in Apple System Profiler when you install it. Mine and several other people's don't show up but still work fine. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC Vintage Macs List Nanny SilValleyPirate - AIM silicon_valley_pirate_uk - Yahoo!
