Disk First Aid just told me that there are serious errors on my 7200/120's 1.1 GB hard drive. For three iterations, it kept saying it can't fix them, try repair again.
The computer is still runs off the hard drive, but I have copied the entire hard drive to an external 40 Gig USB drive. My 7200/120 had OS 8.6 on it when I bought it used, but I never got an OS CD. What's the best software utility to "repair" the hard drive? Or should I not worry about any repair software, and just get an OS 8.6 disk, reformat the hard drive, and copy my saved files back to it? If I do reformat the hard drive, which is preferred, HFS, or HFS Plus? TIA -- Ed Garvey -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
