The L2 cache slot upgrades are definitely more hackish, so it might make 
sense for them to be somewhat more unstable.

However, as far as I know, a 4400 doesn't have daughter card capability. 
The processor is soldered to the board. I could be wrong though.

I also doubt processor speed would affect the quality, though it might 
affect framerate.
