After a good argument over on Applefritter about this we established the x400 and x500 boards work on x200 and x300 Performa style (6x00 and 5x00) machines but might need an upraated PSU for using some features, mostly PCI cards as the original x200 was not designed to take them, only LC PDS which has a much lower power draw (consider the PSU in a 6500 vs. the one in an LCIII, you see what I mean!). Also you will need a new back fence and I/O flap if you want to use a 5400 board as the PCI slot is in a different place and has different outlet dimensions to the LC PDS slot on the 5200. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC Vintage Macs List Nanny SilValleyPirate - AIM silicon_valley_pirate_uk - Yahoo!
