Wilton, You didn't mention what OS you use. If you have OS 9 or earlier, launch the Extensions Manager control panel and search for speech extensions/control panels that may be turned off. Turn them on a restqrt. If that doesn't do it, e-mail me again and I will try to help. Cheers, John
