Hello: This question is for any PCI Mac with a L2 Cache slot. The Mac I have, is a 8500.
Now, I know people who buy memory upgrade for their Macs. For example, I would like to buy eight (8) 128MB DIMMs and put them in this machine. My first question is: 1. Does this Mac recognize 1024MB of RAM?? Now, the L2 cache this machine came with is 256K. I would like to put in a 1Meg L2 cache. My second question is: 2. How come nobody out there upgrades their cache like the way their DIMMs do?? My third question is: 3. Are there 1Meg cache modules out there for this box?? Comments, criticisms, are appreciated.
