Following this string with interest.
I have the SIIG 133 card in my B&W driving two each IBM 40GB drives. I can 
bootup with either drive in both OS9.2.2 and OS10.1.5 ; in both normal and 
striped RAID configurations.

Back to basics

1.Are you sure you have  a "blessed" system folder installed on those 
drives ?

2. Do those drives display in the Startup Disc Control Panel in the System 
Folder?

3. Have you installed an OS on those drives directly from an Apple 
Installation disc?

4. What other drive and OS are you  booting from?
