Leon:

I have been working with SCSI drives for quite some time, and my 2 real
recommendations for you 7300 are:

1) Get a PCI SCSI Card before anything else, and 2) Go with a 68 pin
Hard Drive.

A drive that seems slow on a mac SCSI bus will act much faster on an
external SCSI interface, as it is designed for more speed. Besides, the
Mac bus is limited to 10MBps, theoretically, anyway. With a SCSI Card,
your budget is the only thing that limits your speed. You can get 20,
40, 80, 160, and 320 MBps cards, which you can keep using in other macs
later, and you will get better results from them. As for the drive, go
to eBay, and check out the 36GB SCSI Drives from Fujitsu. They usually
sell new there for $100-130. Think long term with your SCSI upgrades.

As for the IBM Drive, if it is not too old (7 years or more):

Go to http://ssddom01.storage.ibm.com/hddt/Dlocator.nsf/Search?Openform
>From there, you can enter different information to try and find your
drive. Good luck.

Does anyone happen to know the RPMs or any data transfer
information or can someone show me so I can read it for myself. I
am thinking of purchasing a Fujitsu 18.2 gig, 7200 RPM, 80 pin to 50
pin converted hard drive from OWC.

But if anyone knows where I can get info or have information
about this IBM 1.12 Gig drive please let me know off list or online if
you feel this is where it needs to be discussed.
