For your comparison to whatever you're thinking of buying:
Piranhatech.com has a 16x10x40 firewire cdrw for $103, which is both 
Mac & PC compatible, and works with both Toast and iTunes. Buy the PC 
version- it's cheaper, and identical to the Mac version, which is $115. 
It's more because they charge you for the Mac burning software. I bought 
it, and love its reliability.
