The best bang for the buck is a $100 400 MHz G3/512K cache.
IIRC, it is available at
www.OtherWorldComputing.com
For $124 a 400 MHz G3/1MB cache is avail.,also at otherworld.
I believe that both of the above cards are powerLogix.
An XLR8 carrier, with ZIF G3 400/1MB for about $180 is also worth considering.
If your final destination is a G4, i recommend the $100 card.
Then, when time is right for the G4, buy a used G4 machine.
