You will need an ethernet transceiver to connect to your ethernet socket on
the 7500. This is a cable with another little box on the end of it into
which plugs the RJ45. They are low cost items, you should find one on eBay.
I have the same arrangement on this 7100 I am writing this email on. Later
Macs (7300, etc., have an RJ45 socket as standard. You will need to upgrade
your open Transport as they dictate. Cable companies ask about ethernet
because they deal with PCs most of the time and expect to have to supply a
card as well as cable modem.
