"OWC uses the Oxford 911 Bridge board for all of our OWC Mercury
FireWire HardDrive Storage
solutions as it offers the best performance available.

Due to a change Apple made in OS 10.1, there have been some issues
with Oxford 911 based
FireWire drives. These problems are isolated only to the new OS X
10.1 version, and there are no
issues with previous Apple OS versions 10.0.4 or below and OS 9.2.1
or below.

OWC is pleased to announce as of 10/19/2001, ALL of our OWC Mercury
FireWire Drives utilizing
the Oxford 911 chipset are now 100% compatible with the Apple OS X
10.1 release. The new
firmware version that makes this possible also offers a performance
benefit as well, regardless of the
Apple OS version you are using.

If you have purchased an OWC Mercury FireWire hard drive prior to
10/19/2001, we are happy to
offer a free updater. This updater is only for OWC FireWire drives
that have the Oxford 911 chipset.
To receive the updater, please e-mail a request to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with your customer number
and invoice number from the purchase of your OWC Mercury drive. Tech
Support will confirm you
have a qualifying drive and e-mail the update utility within 24
business hours.

Thank you for being an OWC Customer!"
