Yeah, I've heard that 8.6 should be good, but at the moment I only have 8.1
and 9.1 (and 10.1) at home. And he should have it this weekend, he lives 2
hours drive away. Might give him an upgrade some day.

Would it be possibel to take RA from 9.1 and use it in 8.1? Anyone ever
tried?

No you're probably right in this case. I used to do it (even the 2GB disk
in our PB3400) because it reduces fragmentation and the disk-check after a
crash is much faster.
