Yeah, I've heard that 8.6 should be good, but at the moment I only have 8.1 and 9.1 (and 10.1) at home. And he should have it this weekend, he lives 2 hours drive away. Might give him an upgrade some day. Would it be possibel to take RA from 9.1 and use it in 8.1? Anyone ever tried? >2. On 1 gig, I wouldn't partition. ... No you're probably right in this case. I used to do it (even the 2GB disk in our PB3400) because it reduces fragmentation and the disk-check after a crash is much faster.
