Hello Andrew,

Finally, at last, I found somebody with a similar problem ! I have tried everything
that I can come
up with. TechTool Pro, Norton, Disk Warrior, cannot fix the problem. All have claimed
that any
problems were fixed, with the exception of several files with damaged resource forks,
which I
quickly trashed.

I have rebuilt desktop numerous times, optimized, fixed, over and over. Reformatted
the 6GB HD many
times (Low Level, Zero Level. Now I will reformat the 40GB HD, after backing up
everything.

I was going to try a Clean Install, but I'm not sure I should even waste my time,
after reading that
you had already tried a Clean Install.

I am just about ready to throw away these two HDs, and buy the cheapest small HD I can
find just to
get by. Can't afford much right now.
