Video RAM chips are requied to run the video.
I believe that two 1 MB Video RAM chips are the minimum.
Also, i think that uprgrading must go to 4 MB.
(in toher words, 3MB is not "allowed".)

The ROM slot is  s'posed  to be empty.
Do not try to fill it.
