I've tried all the usual tools to get it to do anything. I can get all the info about it, just no action. When you search the SCSI error list, these kinds of errors are commonly reported for CD-RW drives, acting as if the HD was a removable. In eight years of dealing with SCSI hds, I've never encountered these types of errors before. My question is whether it could have something to do with some new formatting that started with OS9/X? See the special hd fix that was mentioned with Disk First Aid 8.6.1. If there are enough harddrives dying from the same symptoms after being formatted for OS9/X, it might be worth looking into, no?
