It really depends on what kind of sound they're using in those things, 
that will determine which plug-in you use.

Generally these are installer apps, you double click on them and they'll 
install.

Acrobat Reader is the *application*; leave it where it is. The acrobat 
reader plug-in is called PDFViewer.

You could have a corrupted plug-in. Like I sadi, it really depends on 
what kind of plug-in is needed. I'd install the ones you got and see if 
it helps.

A possible cause is insufficient memory allocated to Netscape. I don't 
know how much memory you have, but if you set Netscapes memory 
allocation to 24 mb or greater, you'll drastically reduce the frequency 
of crashes.
