Well, finally got the VRAM (2 Mb) for the 7600 mainboard, and replaced the 7200 mainboard with everything for the 7600...
Well, now, I boot up - even just reset the CUDA so it booted up. It runs properly, but when the video comes up, it looks *bad.* If you've ever seen an interlaced GIF, it's like that, but vertically (in other words, rather like a pinstripe.) Through the happy mac, the arrow's normal, but once we see the "MacOS" screen (and later the desktop) there are two solid vertical lines following it. What the heck's going on? Other than this,it seems to run fine. It's not the monitor, it happens on two known-good monitors. I've reseated the VRAM. I'm not sure where to go next. I don't believe it's an OS issue (8.1) as it happens prior to the OS load (from the initial grey screen and happy mac.) Ideas? Help!
