It depends.....some Mac-specific System CD's will and some wo'nt. As an example, I used the OS 8.6 CD that came with my Rev.D iMac to install it on a 6100/66! It worked great though it was understandably slow w/72megs RAM. I'd back up all my important data....and give it a shot! Mikie
