I've opened up my PM7500 a few times, and each time that I do, this thin metal piece that goes in between my floppy and the plastic front gets bent out of shape. I wanted to get rid of it, but I happened to see something that seems to refer to it as an "emi shield" (an ebay auction for a "bezel kit" which includes the tray the drive sits on, screws, the plastic bezel piece and the emi shield).
Is it then important to keep this thin metal piece? Janice -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
