I am truly sorry that we can't all just get along. I am pleased that
whoever you are, are enjoying your Dell experience. There are many
positive things to be gained from having a computer. As with anything
built by humans, there will be flaws and as such destined to be
frustrating. I can't speak for any Dell equipment save one, and that is
one that a friend says, "his wife bought". It did remind me of a Mac
though, my 6100/60, before I got an AV card. Seems it too draws its ram
from the installed variety, lacking in any specifically to service the
video function. It was amusing to see the screen rendering "melt" as he
tried some simple graphics, and then would freeze. He's had his share of
difficulties and expenses to which I attribute to lack of standard
on-board capabilities. Most people out there likely won't miss the
functionality, dependability and flexibility that our Macs provide. And
when they reach that plateau, what do these misguided individuals do?
They buy a newer one, putting off the inevitable repetition which I will
refer to as the "rut".
