Other than the ATI graphics chip, the chips are proprietary to Apple, and are 
made only for Apple, and to Apple's specifications.

Sure, Apple has no in-house chip "foundry", but it uses a number of 
suppliers, all of which supply those chips only to Apple.

Exception: when Apple specifically licenses another company, such as Reply, 
then Apple will supply that licensee with the necessary chips, usually just 
the Apple ROM chips.
