Hello,

I'm very sorry I have taken so long to respond to your very helpful
suggestions. Not to long after I heard from you , I started having trouble
with my computer. I created an extension conflict which caused one problem
after another leading to my not being able to get on the internet. I went on
vacation for two weeks and when I returned I tried to resolve the problem. I
ended up using Conflict Catcher to reinstall OS 9.1 and merge my system
folders. I still couldn't get on the internet, but working through Erols I
got things working again. My email messages amounted to over 1500!
After cleaning out the email, I wanted to reply to you. But, first I
decided to try the bad disk again. Guess what? It worked fine!
Thanks for all your effort on my part. I hope I'm in the clear for a
while.
