I mean, as David said:

"Yes, it could replace your hard disk, but you would either need a 68 to
50 pin adaptor, or a 68 pin scsi card. I would recommend the card, as
you will get much better performance from the drive."

I picked up the ATTO cards from OWC for something like $39.95. I use these in
my PCI Macs.

As my NuBus Macs are equipped with a FWB JackHammer cards, and as these cards
have internal 68- and 50-pin interfaces, and external 68-pin interfaces, it
made good sense for me to simply convert to the 68-pin interface for all new
SCSI purchases, and forget all the hassles and incompatibilities with
60-to-50 and 80-to-50 converter cards.

Plus, all my Apple Network Server (ANS) drives are 68-pin.

So, at least in my shop, I'm gradually moving to UATA/66 or better drives
(most PCI Macs which have on mobo EIDE/UATA) and UW-SCSI on all others
(irrespective of NuBus or PCI).

My $0.02 worth.

As usual, YMMV.

Peter.
