I was under the impression that voodoo 2 cards we're pretty much like voodoo 1 cards (excepting the boodoo bansee's and voodoo rush's) and were 3d only cards and thus worked in either macc's or pc's with the correct drivers. (other cards not working because of the need for a vga/vesa bios that the hosts's cpu understands)
Thus the only difference would be that using a pc voodoo 1 or 2 in a pci mac would be that it had a pc monitor port thus making you need a 2nd (pc) monitor. the only problem seems getting hold of mac voodoo 1 / 2 drivers. k. >No. > >Mike Wafkowski > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Kevin Willis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "PCI PowerMacs" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2002 2:13 PM >Subject: Voodoo cards > > >> Will a Diamond 3DFX Voodoo 2 12 MB PCI card work in my 7500? >> It does not say that it is for a Mac, but will the same card work on >either platform? > > > >--- >Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. >Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). >Version: 6.0.384 / Virus Database: 216 - Release Date: 8/21/02 > > >-- >PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... > > Small Dog Electronics http://www.smalldog.com | Refurbished Drives | > -- Sonnet & PowerLogix Upgrades - start at $169 | & CDRWs on Sale! | > > Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> > >PCI-PowerMacs list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/pci-powermacs.shtml> > --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" >Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Archive:<http://www.mail-archive.com/pci-powermacs%40mail.maclaunch.com/> > >Using a Mac?
