If the jumper(s) for SCSI ID have been set to something OTHER THAN 1,2,4,5 or
6, maybe...(assuming U have nothing else hooked up!)

And if U assigned it to SCSI ID #3 (assuming U have a CD-rom) or 0 or 7, then
maybe...

It could mean both... or neither. >:-)
In the wonderful world of SCSi, sometimes everything can be right BUT the
"dang thang still don't show up." In those cases U need to get ahol dof a
wonderful little Utility called SCSI Probe, which I'll send ya seperately...

Well right now U already have a HD set to "0" ; the 1st HD that came in the
machine. U can use the 2nd HD as your startup HD, but unless the other HD is
either (1) out of the machine, or (2) set to another ID#, U need to set the
additional HD to something other than "0" !!

U know, THAt threw me for a dang'd loop myself when I first dealt with
7300-7600's! I used to have that 1st plug S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D...!! to reach up
to the 2nd Drive..!

But no, the power plugs do not have to match with the corresponding SCSI
plugs.. \.. as crazy as that seems...
