Ever since I installed the 7500 mobo in my 7200 case, I have not been able to get any sound. I slid the volume control all the way up in the control strip, but it goes back down by itself. I tried the pram zap, and reinstalling OS 8.5.
Last night I bought a used apple monitor with built in speakers. It shows up in the system profiler, but I still can't turn the volume up. Inside the "monitors and sounds" control panel, the output device in sounds is listed as built in and the sound output is listed as 000 khz or mhz or something. What do I do to fix this blasted thing? It is driving me nuckin futs. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
