Just over the weekend I installed a Sonnet ATA133 IDE card into my 8600,
and since then the mouse (or better the onscreen-pointer controlled by
the mouse) goes rather jerky from time to time. When moving the mouse the
pointer stops, and starts jumping around, mostly going back an inch,
before continuing. Clicking goes rather difficult also during these
times. And then it goes away, normal behaviour for some minutes. Later on
the same process again, just as if the computer is doing something in the
background. The only thing changed when the problems arose, was the
installation of the ATA133 card.
System 8600/G3/450 Sonnet
928MB RAM; 2x 4GB SCSI; 8,4+13GB ATA
system 9.1, no VM
PCI Radeon7000/PCI AudiomediaIII/PCI Sonnet ATA133 PCI cards installed
Apple850AV on Radeon.
Mouse problems arise with old system on SCSI, with new system on ATA
disk, and with system on NU CDrom.

Addendum, since going from 8.6 to 9.1 the mouse slows down enormously
after waking from sleep, haven't found a solution to this one either
(restart helps). Maybe a connection between the problems ??

Anyone has any ideas ??
