Hi Adrian, IE maybe needs "lots" of memory if one is dumb enough to be using the bloated Outlook Express (16 MB large!) but not with IE as a standalone. I have only exactly "doubled" the "preferred memory allotment" for IE 5 (14, 653 or somewhere there)- even though I have 416 MB RAM. I had previously alloted IE about 12 MB and it still wasn't crashing! Being so stingy with that much RAM on hand, gave William Ahearn a chuckle and so I went whole-hog and doubled the "preferred" as above :-) Pays to have lots in reserve when other web-related programs like Quicktime and "Updater" kick in while 4 or 5 big programs plus IE are already open.
