Three more thoughts 1. delete the quicken prefs file. Munged preference files can/will cause this type of behavior. Reinstalls will not usually remove preference files.
2. If you installed anything recently. Check in the Extensions Folder and see what version CarbonLib you have. Maybe what you installed loaded one of the bad versions? 1.2, 1.4, and 1.6 I think are stable. 3. Use DiskWarrior or Disk First Aid to check the directory. Let TechTool or TechTool lite check the System Files. I forgot what machine, OS, and ram ammounts you have. If you set the Memory of Quicken to a size larger than your actual ram you will have problems. Hope this works.
