I am doing some experiments on my 7500 and thought you guys could help.
First of all, I initialized the hard drive in drive setup. Is that the same as
reformatting in PC terms?
Secondly, I pulled an old 160 Mb hard drive from an old Performa and plugged it in to
the extra power and IDE outlets. The computer finally started after 8 or 10 clicks,
but it would not boot even with the OS 8.5 CD-Rom loaded.
I unplugged the power cord to the Performa HD and it booted of the CD-Rom. Then I
plugged the power cord back in to the Performa HD, while the computer was running and
went in to drive setup again. This time when it searched, it just kept searching but
never found.
How can I install both HD's, keep the contents that are on the Performa HD, and which
HD should I install the OS on?
