The first computer I used on-line was a Sharp MZ700 (old 8 bit Z80 CPU machine). As there was no proper software written for it and it had a wierd ASCII the bl**dy machine would only WORK IN UPPER CASE when I was using it on-line to bulletin boards.............. Of course, there was no rule about only using lower case then, one was just pleased to be able to use a computer with a telephone line.
