Paul Stamsen was dutifully checking off-list a list service issue and I wanted to share part of my response to him to find out if the rest of you may have similar experiences with your list mail.
(snip)... After I notified you, I got a confirmation email to be on the list and then restarted in digest mode and all has been fine, except for frequent warnings that my ISP mail server has bounced my PCI list mail. They (NLS.net) have some really stringent filters (AntiSpam: Checked for restricted content by Gordano's AntiSpam Software) that are often triggered by the PCI list mail and this is really annoying! One such trigger phrase or wording is (and I have to type this in a way that will not get this mail bounced) T-O>B-E >R-E-M-O-V-E-D, which sometimes comes up when people are talking about taking apart computers. I wonder if the other list members are experiencing similar problems with their mail servers going overboard with the AntiSpam filters and getting list emails bounced? If this problem is widespread maybe the list can collectively come up with phrases or wording NOT to use to avoid getting legitimate list mail bounced. (Or should I start looking for a new ISP? : >0 Thanks for checking back, I wanted to share this"bouncing/ISP filters issue" with the list and submitted it for feedback and comments. A topic about the list itself can't really be OT, can it? Mike -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
