The Pulsar originally made up for the PCI problem by having a dual CPU option. I find that my 2nd CPU is unstable under 9.1, so I have taken it out. It goes back in only if I use Adobe stuff, and then I reboot using 8.1.
That and the video card on my Pulsar is crap. (This could be due to regional fixes and models that are different to yours across that great wide pond...) So...ditch the Pulsar unless you intend to use 9.1 with a G3, or 8.1/8.5 and the DP.
