No, this is not correct. I installed QT 6 on my 8500 running OS 8.6
and it installed fine and works great.
I initially got the same error message as csr but attributed that to
the fact that I had transferred the QT installer from a zip disk and
apparently the QT installer assumed I wanted the application
installed on my zip drive. It searched for a bootable system folder,
couldn't find one and gave me that message. I removed the zip and
turned the zip drive off and did another QT install. The installer
then found my system folder on my hard drive and the install went
without a hitch.

Try your install again making sure that only the drive you want the
QT6 app on is active (and contains a bootable system folder) and it
should work fine.

By the way, regarding the Iomega Zip comments in other posts, I have
been using a SCSI Zip100 drive (5 years) on my 8500 and a USB Zip100
(going on 3 years) with no drive or media problems. To be safe I
really "should" do more regular CD back-ups. Maybe my experiences
with my Zips has given me a false sense of security but I can not
knock them. (And I'm "knocking on wood.")
