I posted a while back about an HP 1200SE that would hang up a 6500
running 8.6 after the user went online with FreePPP. I disabled
FreePPP and set up ARA instead, and the freezing problem went away. I
realize FreePPP is not likely supported under 8.6, but it's something
to be aware of.
