Clae,

I just went through this and I finally had to buy a Skyline wireless card and
PCI adapter. There are a number of PCI adapters, but I could not find any
that had Mac drivers made for them. Not only does there have to be software
for the wireless card, but software for the PCI adapter as well. I did find
one that said it was Mac compatible, but after getting it, and talking to
tech support a couple of times, they told me that it was not Mac compatible.

I have the Gold in my Wallstreet and it works great. I was given a Silver,
and was hoping to use it in my desktop machine. No dice.

<<If I want to use a PCMCIA wireless card - a Lucent/Avaya Orinoco - in
my desktop, will one of the generic PC-land PCI cradles work? I may
be able to get a Ricoh cradle soon, and I'd like to give it a go
because the price is about half that of the mac equivalent.

Are there any inits or cps i should try out on it? I have the
Orinoco mac drivers working in my laptop.

Alternatively, has anyone had any success using a USB PCMCIA adapter
with a wireless card?

Clae. >>
