My 8500/120 (G4/400 upgrade) is making this howling noise on power up. After a while it goes away. Sometimes it comes back, & is a noticeable whine & throbbing. I had the case open, & thought it was the fan doing it.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? (I bought mine in '95, so it's nearly 7 yrs old). What is a good replacement fan, is a PC 12v fan compatible?
