Howdy - I recently picked up a 5400 cheap (shipping cost more than the unit). The problem, and why it was so cheap - it won't boot. All that comes up is the 'No disk' screen (flashing floppy). Any suggestions? I've tried booting from an OS 8 and OS 9 cd respectively, to no avail. I downloaded the 7.5.3 image from Apple, bu that only contains the installer. PRAM reset works, I get the chime et al. Don't know what else to do. Any tips/hints/help will be greatly appreciated. All I can think of is to yank it apart and try to install an OS on the HDD, but that really isn't an option since I don't have anything to put the HDD into to do this. Got an iMac DV 400 and a Wallstreet as well.
