Hello, I am a visitor of the list and occasionally respond to queries when Ii feel I can offer something valuable. Now I am in genuine trouble!
I have PTP 225, xlr8 G3, original 2gig and 3 gig scsi drives with 8.6 installed. Sonnet ATA 100 pci card, WDGTL 100 gig drive partitioned into 3 33gig each. I went to OS9forever and was able to get my OS to 9.2 on one of the 33 gig partitions. Then I installed the Radeon 7000. All in the last 4 days or so. All was well until, OS 9.2 has an automatic upgrade feature and without too much thought I gave it permission to 'update' to what I remember as 9.2.2. I then rebooted and received one screen that told me the machine can no longer recognize the signature ID of the Hard Disk. Now I get nothing, my PTP whirs away as though it is loading information somewhere, the monitor is a black screen (I believe it does work, it does tell me its going to 'save mode' ), I can't do a 4 finger salute to change back to either of the 8.6 drives. Diskwarrior won't load, and I haven't been able to boot from the original boot disk. I confess that my internal CD may not be working, I have put off getting a new one and using a fireware CDR, and I know I can't boot from that. Any any ideas?
