I have a running PM9500/180MP and a 9500 motherboard. I would like to slap
the motherboard in a full tower PC case I have. Besides the power supply and
some cutting, would I face any toruble doing that? I just want to have lots
of drive bays ;)

The easiest is to transplant your 9500 or 9500MP mobo into am 8600/9600 case.

There will be minor issues with the front panel button, and significant
issues with the power supply pinout, but all are resolvable by a resourceful
person.

Oh, the 8600/9600 case gives you SEVEN drive positions, and more that enough
power suplly capacity.
