I received a MT G3/300 I got as a "gift" from the IT
dept in my school. (I am a lonely Mac in a sea of
Dells) It, too, will not keep the date and time after
shutdown. Pram battery? Or could it be something
more sinister. This computer has lain dormant for a
while though I can't say how long with any certainty.
It was using OS8.5 before I upgraded to 9.0.4 today.
I got it because I am one of a VERY few at the school
who likes to work on Macs.
