This probably belongs on the Apple II list, but anyway...it does. I have
a IIc set up and in addition to the internal 5.25" it has an external
5.25" and two UniDisk 3.5" drives.

The Apple II drives can't read PC 5.25" disks. I believe there is a card
for the IIe and IIgs that accomodates PC 5.25" drives. Or maybe the PC
Transporter card.

The sure way to find out is whether a IIc can use a 3.5" drive is if
it's able to run a self-test. Hold down open apple and closed apple
while booting and if you get a checkerboard pattern followed by "System
OK" it can accomodate a UniDisk 3.5" drive. This is the only 3.5" drive
the IIc can use, because the 1MHz 65c02 processor cannot handle the
"dumb" 3.5" drive that doesn't have its own processor and RAM.
