Usually no more than 1 point above the rated PLL clock multiplier ratio for
the slower chips and up to 2 points above rated speed for later chips;
maximum being 10x. Thus a 300 mHz running on a PCI Mac's 50 mHz bus with a
multiplier ratio of 6x can be clocked to 7x = 350 mHz safely without
freezes.
