The site makes it sound like you must have a PC running Windoze to connect and
then you can connect a Mac or Unix machine via a network. Anyone checked into
this or found a work around? (I know what I'll hear from the local distributor.
"Macs aren't supported!" That's the usual response when dealing with PC oriented
companies. I had to show the cable guy how to hook Macs into the cable modem as
he had no idea. I used my own crossover cable to show him that that was what was
needed. He didn't want to try one as he "knew" that that wasn't the connection
problem! I hooked it up while he was outside double checking the connections at
the box.)

All of my Macs (I don't do PCs!) are networked via ethernet hubs and at present
tie into my cable modem. The modem ties into a hub via an ethernet crossover
cable and all of my Macs tie into networked hubs via ethernet patch cables to
give each of them full internet and network access. I'd like to maintain the
same simplicity rather that having to run a VPC "Server" and have all of my
other Macs tied to it.

TIA
David Allen
