I went from 9.1 to 9.2.2 on my 8500, and AppleTalk went
belly-up. My AppleTalk devices (a couple of Newtons) can *see* the Mac,
but they can't connect to it. I read somewhere that Apple made some
signifigant changes to Networking between 9.1 and 9.2.1, so I can only
assume that that is the problem. Personally, I'm sticking with 9.1...

Evil Overlord Rule 224:
I will build machines which simply fail when overloaded, rather than
wipe out all nearby henchmen in an explosion or worse yet set off a
chain reaction. I will do this by using devices known as "surge
protectors".
